Qq. Chen et al., Relationship between magnetic fabric parameters and dynamic characteristics of deposits in different environments, CHIN SCI B, 43(22), 1998, pp. 1917-1921
Comparison of magnetic fabric parameters of deposits in different modern se
dimentary environments indicates that values of P, F and L of eolian deposi
ts are lower obviously than those of hydrogenic ones respectively. On relat
ionship diagrams of magnetic fabric parameters, data points of eolian sampl
es concentrated in limited area near origin of coordinates indicate that dy
namic intensity is lower with less variation; while those of hydrogenic one
s depart from origin of coordinates suggest higher intensity of sedimentary
dynamics. Analyses of dynamic characteristics of different sedimentary env
ironments indicate that values of magnetic fabric parameters of deposits ar
e determined by dynamic types and characteristics of depositional processes
. Magnetic fabric analyses of deposits are effective in determination of se
dimentary environments.
