Abstract
Impedance diagrams allow the characterization of compactness for calcium ca rbonate deposits obtained electrochemically by chronoamperometry accelerate d scaling. Double layer capacity is the best parameter for correlation with field observations. Efficiency of a chemical scale inhibitor, PERMATREAT 1 91, is determined though high-frequency resistance measurements. (C) Academ ie des sciences/Elsevier, Paris.
