Abstract
The reaction of 2-alkynyl-1-phosphanorbornadiene-1-oxide with 1-phenyl-3,4- dimethyl-phosphole without solvent. at 140 degrees C yields the correspondi ng -C=C- + 2H-phosphole [2 + 4] cycloadducts. These 2,3'-bis-(1-phosphanorb ornadienyl) dioxides have been characterized by X-ray analysis. (C) Academi e des sciences/Elsevier, Paris.
