Abstract
A fourth-order hyperchaotic oscillator is described. It contains a neg ative impedance converter, two gyrators, two capacitors and a diode. t he dynamics of the oscillator is shown to be characterised by two posi tive Lyapunov exponents. The performance of the circuit is investigate d by means of numerical integration of appropriate differential equati ons, hardware experiments and PSPICE simulations.
