Plant hormones: Ins and outs of auxin transport

Regulated transport has long been known to play a key part in action of the plant hormone auxin. Now, at last, a family of auxin efflux carriers has b een identified, and the characterisation of one family member has provided strong evidence in support of models that have been proposed to explain gra vitropic curvature in roots.
