Abstract
Benzo[b]furans have been found to exist in Nature since the late 19th Centu ry. Since that time their investigations have revealed many avenues of unde rstanding their properties. Many benzo[b]furans have exuded bioactivity to certain types of environments which have in turn reveled information that m ay be of usage to, among others, homo sapiens. But to ascertain more data a bout benzo[b]furans, interesting Chemistry has also been revealed, particul arly in regards to formation of the furan ring itself. This communication w ill attempt to discuss these three areas and their current directions there of.
