Abstract
The authors report on the strain dependence of the Landau-Placzek rati o (LPR). This, together with the known temperature dependence of the L PR and the Brillouin frequency dependence on strain and temperature, m ay be used to form the basis of a combined distributed strain and temp erature sensor.
