Abstract
The probability density of fibre path PMD coefficients is derived from the probability density of PMD coefficients of cabled fibres. Simple, analytic expressions are provided for certain statistics associated w ith fibre path PMD coefficients. Examples of the use of the path densi ty for system design are given.
