A polymer waveguide Y-branch thermo-optic (TO) switch was fabricated u
sing deuterated fluoromethacrylate polymers. The influence of humidity
on transmission in the switch was examined at 16, 44 and 80% RH. A tr
ansmission of -1.3dB and a crosstalk of <-18dB were obtained al 1.3 mu
m at all these humidity levels with a switching power of 130mW.
