Abstract
The author has developed an evolutionary programming (EP) approach to solve eigenvalue optimisation problems which have not been Well solved so far. Numerical examples show that the developed EP approach is cap able of finding tile global optimum and is very useful in the stabilit y analysis of uncertain control systems.
