Cs. Go et al., TIME-RESOLVED RAMAN-SCATTERING WITH A BROAD-BAND LASER FOR MEASUREMENT OF THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE PUMP AND STOKES WAVES IN A RAMAN GENERATOR, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 30(2), 1997, pp. 427-430
We investigated the correlation between the broadband pump and Stokes
waves in a Raman generator by using the technique of Time Resolved Sti
mulated Raman Scattering (TSRS). In general, two pump waves and a Stok
es wave are put into Raman media in TSRS. However only two pump waves
were used in our experiment. A Stokes wave is generated by the pump wa
ve and is mixed with the two pump waves to generate a signal Stokes wa
ve. Theoretically, we would make a simple model for the first order co
rrelation function between the pump and Stokes waves. Using the Chaoti
c Field model for the broadband waves, a normalized average signal int
ensity is calculated and is compared with the experimental results to
find the parameters of the correlation function.
