Electrochemical investigations on 4-hydroxy-2-thiomethyl-6-methyl-5-sulphon
amoylazopyrimidine by de polarography, cyclic voltametry and controlled pot
ential electrolysis in Britton-Robinson buffers have been carried out in th
e pH range 2.6-12.0. A 2 (e) over bar reduction wave/peak is observed in ac
idic, neutral and alkaline pH conditions and no anodic response on reversin
g the potential was observed. The result shows that the reduction process i
s diffusion controlled and irreversible.
