Abstract
A facile synthetic method for a cupreous chafer beetle sex pheromone (R,Z)- (-)-5-(1-octenyl)oxacyclopenlan-2-one has been developed by employing lipas e-catalyzed enantioselective acylation of racemic 4-hydroxy-5-dodecynonitri le in an organic solvent.
