Abstract
A novel efficient synthesis of 2-styrylthiazolo[4,5-b]quinoxaline based flu orescent dyes was achieved by the condensation of 2-alkylthiazolo[4,5-b]qui noxaline with selected 4-N,N-dialkylamino-substituted arylaldehydes or heta rylaldehydes in the presence of piperidine or acid anhydride. The coloristi c, fluorophoric and dyeing properties of these dyes were studied.
