Abstract
A nucleophilic substitution reaction in the pyrrole series, achieved by a n eutral nucleophile, led to the key intermediate 7 which by reduction and su ccessive diazotization afforded the new ring system pyrrolo[3,2-c][1,2,5]be nzotriazocine 9 in good yield.
