Exploring underrepresentation - The case of faculty of color in the midwest

This mixed-method study, conducted in eight Midwestern states with the part icipation of 487 campuses, focuses on the workplace environment for faculty of color with particular attention to problems of recruitment, retention, and development. The findings emphasize the need to persevere in efforts to diversify higher education faculty.
