Abstract
Liquid chromatography and capillary zone electrophoresis, respectively coup led to an evaporative light scattering detector and a UV detector have been developed for the analysis of acarbose without any derivatization procedur e. The electrophoretic separation of acarbose anomers was achieved through the manipulation of the working temperature. Both methods were validated an d showed good validation data in terms of precision, accuracy and linearity . The validated methods were successfully applied to the dosage of acarbose in commercially available Glucobay(R) tablets. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B .V. All rights reserved.
