Evaluation and management of allergic rhinitis

Every practitioner is challenged by the patient who complains of nasal anti sinus congestion, headache, or post-nasal discharge. These common symptoms , although seemingly trivial, may interfere greatly with the quality of lif e of the individual. This article examines the task of allergy diagnosis an d therapy for the practitioner from the otolaryngologist's point of view. R ecommendations of treatment and referral criteria are established.
