Abstract
Dimerization of 2,5-bis(trimethylsilyl)-3-hexyne-2,5-diol over CpCo(CO)(2) in n-decane yields brown crystals of the (tetravinylcyclobutadiene)cyclopen tadienyl-cobalt complex 4. A single-crystal structure of 4, the first unsub stituted, pervinylated pi-complex, was obtained.
