Hypoglycemia is known to produce various EKG changes, including arrhythmias
. Although these changes have been rarely documented, their presence may po
se diagnostic and therapeutic problems in an emergency situation. We report
the case of a 81-year-old man with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus who
showed electrocardiographic features of acute myocardial ischemia during a
n episode of hypoglycemia; these alterations disappeared after glucose admi
nistration.
