Abstract
The differential cross section for negative-pion photoproduction in the rea ction C-12(gamma, pi(-)p) has been measured as a function of the proton emi ssion angle and proton energy. The momentum of the product pion and the ang le of its emission have been found to be 524 MeV/c and 54 degrees, respecti vely. Our measurements have been performed in the photon-energy range 620-7 40 MeV. The results of these measurements have been analyzed in the quasifr ee approximation.
