Abstract
A study of the literature shoms that anti-prolactins derived from alkaloids of rye ergot (ergolin) can be used to induce oestrus in the female dog. Am ongst the molecules which can be used in the female dog, cabergolin associa tes ease of utilisation (oral administration) with positive results. The ef fectiveness of treatment is improved if the drug is given late in relations hip to the previous oestrus. Depending on experimental data the results can be modified by pak phenomena (mutual induction of oestrus).
