Abstract
In this study, 180 vocational rehabilitation counselors in one midwestern s tate completed the Multicultural Counseling inventory (MCI) and the Marlowe -Crowne Social Desirability Scale. Overall, counselors perceived themselves to be most multiculturally competent in the area of multicultural skills. Significant differences appeared between European American and African Amer ican counselors on the MCI subscales of Relationship and Awareness.
