A 57-year-old man developed oligoarthritis of the right sacroiliac joint, k
nee and elbow in the wake of Clostridium difficile pseudomembranous colitis
. He was HLA B27-positive and had a history of Reiter's syndrome. His joint
manifestations resolved after a course of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory dr
ug therapy and injection of the right knee with triamcinolone acetonide, Cl
ostridium difficile should be recognized as a rare cause of reactive arthri
tis.
