Abstract
The possibility of formation of halomethanes upon the photostimulated react ion of halogen-containing minerals with methane was shown. The dynamics of accumulation of chloromethane, dichloromethane, and chloroform in model sys tems CH4-NaCl, CH4-sylvinite, and CH4-halite was studied experimentally. Th e kinetic parameters for the formation of methyl chloride were determined.
