Abstract
We demonstrated a bulk optical fluorescence based immunosensor capable of m ultianalyte water analysis. Calibration curves obtained for 2,4-dichlorophe noxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and simazine had detection limits of 0.035 and 0.02 6 mu g l(-1), respectively. The sensor is reusable due to its regenerabilit y and cost effective due to the use of components customary in the trade. A concept for the detection of a varying range of analytes on the same trans ducer is discussed. In addition, the effect on the sensor response of a thi n high index film deposited on the transducer surface is studied. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
