Abstract
We present an extension to finite temperature of the Mahan-Nozieres-De Domi nicis framework to obtain the electronic part of the current-current correl ation function. Its Fourier transform gives the absorption and emission spe ctra of doped low-dimensional semiconductors. We show the meaning of the ne w finite-temperature contributions characterizing the electronic part. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
