Abstract
Poly(pyrimido[5,4-d]pyrimidine-2,6-diyl)s, pi-conjugated poly(arylene) with nitrogen atoms at the four o-positions, have been prepared. The polymers g ive UV-vis and photoluminescence peaks at about 450 and 470 nm, respectivel y, and receive electrochemical reduction at -2.20 V vs Ag/Ag+. (C) 1998 Els evier Science Ltd.
