Abstract
A new high capacity, reservation-based switch architecture for ATM/WDM netw orks is presented. The scheme is contention-free and highly flexible yieldi ng a powerful solution for high-speed broadband packet-switched networks. S witching management and control are studied for data rates of up to 10Gbit/ s/port, providing and aggregated throughput of over 1Tbit/s.
