High spin states of Rh-101 have been populated using the reaction Zn-70+S-3
6 at 130 MeV. gamma-rays were detected with the EUROGAM2 array. New high-sp
in bands have been observed in this nucleus up to 45/2(-), 57/2(-) and 65/2
(+) states. They have been interpreted using the Nilsson-Strutinsky crankin
g formalism as terminating configurations. Two of the bands were observed u
p to the predicted terminating states which are built up from g(9/2) proton
s as well as d(5/2), g(7/2) and h(11/2) neutrons relative to a Zr-90 core.
