Investigation of reciprocal translocations in the pea

Karyotypes and meiotic chromosome behavior were analyzed in nine previously isolated pea translocation lines. As a result of the performed studies, th e structures of lines L-83 (T3S-5L), L-84 (T3L-6S), and Twt (T2-6S) were co nfirmed. It was established that line L-108, which was earlier determined a s (T2-7S), carries a translocation between chromosomes 2 and 4 (T2-4S) Line L-25 carries a translocation between chromosomes 1 and 7 (T1-7S), Line L-1 12 has a translocation between chromosomes 3 and 7 (T3-7S), and chromosomes 1 and 2 are involved in a translocation in line L-114 (T1-2) A cytogenetic analysis of mitotic and meiotic chromosome structure failed to identify th e chromosomes involved in reciprocal exchange in line L-58.
