Cn. Wu et al., A quality-based birth-and-death queueing model for evaluating the performance of an integrated voice/data CDMA cellular system, IEEE VEH T, 48(1), 1999, pp. 83-89
Code-division multiple access (CDMA) has been proven to be one of the promi
sing mainstream multiaccessing techniques in future cellular mobile communi
cation systems. In this paper, a quality-based birth-and-death queueing mod
el is developed for the purpose of evaluating the performance of a CDMA cel
lular that supports two-rate transmissions, Performance measures obtained i
nclude channel utilization and call blocking probability, Based on these re
sults, three call admission schemes are compared.
