Yi. Moon et al., A THEORY OF HOT-ELECTRON QUANTUM MAGNETOTRANSPORT IN QUASI-2-DIMENSIONAL QUANTUM-WELLS, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 30(2), 1997, pp. 252-260
Based on the formalism of the nonlinear response theory developed prev
iously, the nonlinear de magnetoconductivity parallel to the walls of
a quantum well, with a magnetic field B = Bz applied normal to its bar
riers, is evaluated analytically for optical-phonon, acoustic-phonon,
and impurity scattering. For optical-phonon scattering, strong electri
c fields convert the normal magnetophonon maxima into minima and vice
versa and shift the resonance peaks to higher peaks side. For acoustic
-phonon and impurity scattering at very low temperatures, the fields g
ive rise to an additional oscillatory structure, not occurring in the
weak-field case, for a narrow well. Some of the results obtained here
are in accordance with those available in the literature.
