Abstract
The influence of species such as carboxylic acids, esters and quaternary am monium salts has been studied on the rate of the reaction between cyclopent anol and 1,6-diisocyanatohexane catalyzed by di-n-butyltin di(2-ethylhexano ate) in toluene at 55 degrees C. The results give a new evidence in agreeme nt with Davies' mechanism in which the active catalytic form results from a n alcoholysis of Sn carboxylate. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
