Abstract
Assuming the active molecule as a two-level system, we calculate the racemi zation taking into account the effect of the weak interactions and of an ex ternal potential. We show that the weak interactions can play a fundamental role in the optical stabilization of enantiomers in compressed gases and l iquids. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
