DETERMINATION OF CHLORIDE IN THE LEACHATES OF STABILIZED WASTE BY IONCHROMATOGRAPHY AND BY A VOLUMETRIC METHOD - ANALYSIS AND COMPARISON

This study investigates the determination of the total chloride conten t in the leachates of samples of stabilised municipal solid waste inci nerator fly ash (Portland cement), using two different leaching method s. The chloride content of the leachates obtained by two different met hods was analysed by ion chromatography and by a volumetric method. Th e results obtained with the two methods are very similar, although the results obtained by the volumetric method were generally lower.
