The critical behavior of a ferromagnetic Ising film with amorphous surfaces
is studied within the framework of the effective field theory. The method
takes into consideration the fluctuation of the effective held and is based
on a probability distribution of random variables which correctly accounts
for all the single site kinematic relations. The dependence of the critica
l temperature on exchange interaction strength ratio, film thickness, and a
morphization is presented. Tt is found that an order-disorder magnetic tran
sition occurs by varying the thickness of the film, Such a result is in agr
eement with experiments performed recently on Fe-films.
