The zero-field singularities that account for the oscillatory motion of bou
nd fluxon-antifluxon pairs in stacks of two long Josephson junctions are in
vestigated in detail. Experimental results concerning the I-V characteristi
cs and the stability of the bound state are compared with existing theoreti
cal models and with numerical results of a recent, more realistic, model. T
he microwave emission from the state is also described and discussed. [S016
