Recent shell model calculations using a realistic interaction by Andreozzi
et al. [Phys. Rev. C 56, R16 (1997)] have given excellent agreement with th
e experimental level spectra of Te-134 and I-135. In addition, these author
s call into question our contention that there is a serious inconsistency i
n the measured masses of N=82 isotones near Sn-132. In this Comment, we out
line the shell model decomposition method and defend our conclusion that th
e accepted ground stare masses of Te-134 and/or Sb-133 must be inaccurate b
y much more than their assigned errors. [S0556-2813(98)06912-X].
