Abstract
In this paper we consider the motion of a particle in a linear array of flu ctuating barriers. Each barrier can be closed or open and fluctuates in tim e. The motion of the particle is any stochastic motion between the barriers and the closed barriers stops the particle. We give several rigorous asymp totic results for the transmission probability of the particle and use them to show that this model presents a stochastic resonance with respect to th e probability of finding a barrier closed.
