Abstract
A new flavonoid, 3-[1-[[3-di(4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl]2,4,6-trihydroxyphenyl] 3-di(4-hydroxyphenyl)1-propanone-2-yl]5,7-dihydroxy-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one, named mohsenone was isolated from the root of Stellera chamnejasme together with chamaechromone and (-)-epiafzelechin 7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside and t heir structures were elucidated by spectral analyses.
