Interaction of hydrocarbons with partial oxidation catalysts

Interaction of differently constructed hydrocarbons with partial oxidation catalysts was studied. It was shown that during activation of organic molec ule on the surface the formation of adsorbed complexes or radicals can take place. This process depends on the: structure of hydrocarbon molecules, bo nd energy, temperature and the nature of solid surface (structure, valent s tate of elements contained in its composition, oxygen forms and their mobil ity). The possible mechanism of the activation of hydrocarbons on different systems is discussed.
