Abstract
Two different isoforms of ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase ( Rubisco) from Alcaligenes eutrophus have been purified and crystallized. Bo th isoforms crystallize in space group P4(3)2(1)2. Crystals of isoform I (u nit-cell dimensions a = 112.0 and c = 402.7 Angstrom) diffract to 2.7 Angst rom, whereas isoform II (unit-cell dimensions a = 111.8 and c = 400.0 Angst rom) presently diffract to 3.2 Angstrom, using synchrotron radiation in bot h cases.
