Research note: In search of Rossia pacifica diegensis S. S. Berry, 1912

We describe the eggs of Rossia pacifica S. S. Berry, 1911, from a depth of 1,200 m off of southern California. The large size of the eggs and the grea t depth and low temperature from which they were retrieved contrasts strong ly with smaller eggs of this species taken in shallower, warmer water along the western coast of the contiguous United States.
