Abstract
Whole-body microwave sinusoidal irradiation of male NMRI mice, exposure of macrophages in vitro, and preliminary irradiation of culture medium with 8. 15-18 GHz (1 Hz within) at a power density of 1 mu W/cm(2) caused a signifi cant enhancement of tumor necrosis factor production in peritoneal macropha ges. The role of microwaves as a factor interfering with the process of cel l immunity is discussed.
