Abstract
A marine photosynthetic bacterium, Rhodovulum sp., (PS88) isolated from a s ea sediment mud self-flocculated during aerobic cultivation in the dark. Fl occulation and growth of PS88 were especially by Mg2+ up to 10 mM in cultur e medium. Ca2+ had a lesser stimulating effect.
