Hydride/chloride redistribution reactions provided high yields of GaCl2H(qu in) I, GaCl2H(quin)(2) II, GaClH2(quin) III and GaClH2(quin)(2) IV(quin = q uinuclidine) and structural characterization of compounds II and IV authent icate the unusual five-coordinate geometry for gallium hydride complexes.
