Abstract
Addition of hydrolysed trimethylgallium to an excess of 18-crown-6 in water affords an alkyl mu-hydroxo bridged Ga(III) trimer in solution (pH ca. 6) and the solid, isolated as the hydrogen bonded assembled supermolecule [{Me 2Ga(mu-OH)}(3) . 3H(2)O](2) . 18-crown-6.
