Ad. Lang et al., Investigation of photoelectric conversion from an novel charge transfer compound of a hemicyanine dye containing zinc complex anion, CHEM J CH U, 19(12), 1998, pp. 1881-1885
A new type of charge transfer complex of a hemicyanine dye containing zinc
complex anion: [(CH3)(2)NC6H4-CH = CH-C10H6NC18H37](2)Zn (dmit)(2)(where dm
it = 4,5-dimercato-1, 3-dithiole-2-thione)(A(2)S) has been studied on its L
B film property and photoelectric conversion from its LB film modified ITO
electrode compared with a hemicyanine dye iodide: (CH3)(2)NC6H4-CH = CH-C10
H6NC18H37I (AI). The results show that the quantum yield of A(2)S is 1.8-fo
ld increased in comparison with that for AI. This can be explained by the f
act that when the conductive zinc complex anion is used to replace I- to fo
rm hemicyanine complex, the LB film property can be improved and also the c
harge separation of the hemicyanine dye become more effective, This kind of
compound can be evaluated as a promising photoelectric conversion material
