The Spline Least Square Method(SLSM) was applied to deal with the capillary
electrophoresis graph containing a strong white nosie, The mathematical pr
inciple of SLSM was introduced and the parameters, spline order k and filte
r length L, which affect the results directly, were discussed. A capillary
electrophoresis system with amperometric detector, micro Pt electrode as th
e working electrode, was demonstrated by running several phenols compounds
in 50 mu m x 75 cm capillary. It shows SLSM has a great applicability to ha
ndle complex graph with a strong white noise, and can give acceptable resul
t even if the niose is as strong as the signal.
